Outline
This was my internship project at MonsoonFish Pune, a uiux design agency. My brief was to creating an app for small ngos manage their donations. Small NGOs don't necessarily have a laptop, but everyone has a smartphone, hence the phone app. Through the internship I had to do lot of back and forth with the user while improving the design.
Research
Understanding the users
Through this project I got multiple opportunities to talk to the users and understanding the their needs. I also got a chance to look into their current logging system to see how they use to sort and log donations.
information architecture
Building the flow
Before starting the wireframes, I spent time developing the flow of the whole app. This process was done along side the developers to get the most feasible solution.
Creativity
Paper to screen
visuals
60 30 10 rule
Using a colour guide while making the design of the app. The overall look of the application need to be clean and crisp. So keeping the main colour white while having accent colours.
testing
Testing to gather insights
Before finalising the solution I did multiple rounds of user tests to understand what can be improved. After the testing, I had to do multiple changes to make it easier and more intuitive for the user.
solution
Helping smaller NGOs manage donations
A dash board with easily accessible information and data that the users will need every day. The project and donations page helps the egos to keep a track of the donations they are receiving.
Keeping in touch with the awesome donors
The donor profiles help keep the information handy to while being able to build a good contact with the donors. Features like grouping and filtering  the donors with similar were also included to make the grouping easier.
Money, money, money
Instant donations is a way of getting more finds for the NGOs.  A way quick way of making and logging donations comes in hand for the NGOs. Donors can independently make donations thorough a web platform.
Recommendation
What my mentor had to say...
'' It’s my pleasure to write Urvi a recommendation. Urvi interned with us for a few months while we were experimenting a new approach to design sprints. Her work helped us to refine the process and deliver exceptional results for a customer. My fondest memory is of her surrounding herself with her work, so much so that it encroached a few desks left and right. Loved the enthusiasm Urvi ! Stay the same & keep doing good work. ''
