Magnets to improve dinning experience 
A light that is used in a restaurant to ease the communication between the customer and the waiters. It uses the principles of levitation to add ambience to the evening.
The introvert in me is always too shy to get the attention of a waiter. 
The product is aimed at a casual restaurant where you go to relax with you friends and family to enjoy your evening. While the research phase, these were the problems that we identified. 
Interference in conversations while dining
Waiters can get offended by the way customers call them 
Disturbing the surrounding customers 
Some people are timid to call a waiter and have to wait 
People can get offended when waiters do not respond 
People sometimes forget their manners

ideation
We explored different ideas and form for the concept. We focused on blending the form through the two modules.
solution
Its floating!
The top module of the product will have magnets inside. Once flipped and aligned to the base, it will float.
The base module contains a powerful electro-magnet. It also has a ring that enables the user to change the colour of the lamp when rotated.

The base module contains a strong electro-magnet while the
levitating module has a normal maganet and a gyroscope for the balance of the module. Because of the different magnetic poles, the module either levitates or snap in place.
Colours to send your message
The user is able to control what service is provided. The different colours of light indicates a different message and  increases the productivity of the service.
